LOST, My Son and the Original Frequency
For six years I watched every episode of LOST.
Like me, many tried to understand what was happening on that island, which was the real purpose, etc..
At the end, many lines of thought were left without the slightest explanation, and many were disappointed with the show.
Through an "insight", I had the following interpretation: LOST, means the time is gone.
We all had good moments in our lives, good times, good stages...
Many are living at this very moment, the best time of their lives.
There was a time, everything made sense, everything was justified.
I remember one time I used to wake up early, study until later, earn less, work more, eat less, suffer more, feel less ... but it had a purpose.
No, my friends, I am not depressed because my life makes no sense.
Just have a feeling there was a time that things had another "taste".
In childhood and youth, for example, how many dreams fed, how many plans, how many projects...
We did not see the time to turn 18, start to work, get married and have children!
How many companies my brothers and I planned to build when we grew up...
LOST is a time that never returns, then we feel a great nostalgia, we would give anything to go back to that time.
I recently read two books that changed my life: Shadow Effect (Deepak Chopra) and Frequency (Penney Peirce).
I was explaining to my son, what was this frequency thing and I used the example of LOST to make the analogy.
I found myself in a choked voice, trying to explain what I was feeling, while I was watching my son (13 years) with that face who was not understanding where I was going to with another one of my theories.
The Frequency book talks about we all possess an original frequency, that our mere presence causes, without having to say a single word.
This, in the innermost core of the issue, is our unique way of being and feeling.
It also speaks of how the events of our daily routine, sometimes drive us nuts, and make us shift our way of thinking and acting as if we do not recognize us in that situation.
It talks about we should always try to find and remember our original frequency.
Sometimes it is very difficult to remember this frequency.
You should even be trying to understand what I mean.
It is that we should not try to remember with the memory... we should just try to feel it.
You know that feeling of winning the lottery? Even for a second?
You know that smell, that "deja vu" that refers you to your childhood?
That's what I'm talking about.
For a moment, try to feel that feeling you had as a child or a teenager.
Go back in time, imagine yourself there ...
You can do it!
Feel the smell of your mother's food...
Feel the chill of the first day of school...
Feel the desire to go out and see the world...
Feel the joy of school holidays...
Feel the desire to get to know someone to share your life...
There, somewhere in your sub-conscious, you will find your true self, your original frequency.
Everything you are today, is an evolution of that being... with everything good and bad that life added.
Many do not like to remember that time.
There are many traumas, bad memories.
Leave that aside, remember the good times.
Or not ... after all, we are products of our experiences, whether good or bad.
I hope my son finds these words in the future, warmth to his concerns.
That this reminds him of his original frequency.
All the love and care we offered.
The sense that he gave our lives...
How much happiness that he brought us...
And I hope you also find in these words, the inspiration for your life.
Hope, to overcome difficulties, and heat for your dreams.
Let this help you to seek your happiness...
With love... never stop dreaming.
Pericles Sevegnani.
